Up to Code Plumbing – Terms & Conditions
1. Service Fees & Payment Terms
•All services performed by Up to Code Plumbing (“UTC”) will be billed according to the prices quoted at the time of service.
•Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
•Any unpaid balance not received within 30 days of the invoice date will incur a 10% late fee added to the total amount due.
•Accounts remaining unpaid after 60 days may be sent to a third-party collections agency, and the customer will be responsible for any additional collection costs or fees.
2. Dispatch & Callback Policy
•A standard $30 dispatch fee applies to send a technician to your home or business.
•Callbacks: Issues that arise from work previously performed by UTC will not be charged a dispatch fee.

3. Protection of Customer Property
•UTC technicians will make every reasonable effort to protect your home and property during service visits, including the use of protective equipment when appropriate.
•However, plumbing work can involve inherent risks related to existing conditions, materials, or structural integrity. UTC is not responsible for damages caused by pre-existing issues or conditions beyond our control.
4. Customer Information & Communication Consent
•By providing your phone number(s) and/or email address(es), you consent to receive communication from UTC.
•This may include:
•Appointment reminders
•Scheduling and booking updates
•Invoices or service-related information
•Occasional marketing messages or promotions from UTC
•Your information will not be sold or shared with third parties except as required for normal business operations (e.g., invoicing, collections).

5. Pricing for Complicated or Unforeseeable Issues
•Some plumbing problems involve complex, concealed, or unforeseen conditions that cannot be fully diagnosed until work has begun.
•In these cases, accurate upfront pricing may not be possible.
•UTC will communicate findings as they arise and provide updated pricing or options before proceeding further whenever feasible.
6. Warranty & Workmanship
•UTC stands behind the quality of its work. Any workmanship-related issues within the warranty period will be addressed as a callback at no additional dispatch charge.
•Warranty does not cover issues resulting from misuse, customer-supplied materials, or unrelated system failures.

7. Authorization to Perform Work
•By approving the estimate or allowing work to begin, the customer authorizes UTC to perform the agreed-upon services and acknowledges responsibility for payment.

8. Changes & Additional Work
•Any additional work requested or required due to unforeseen conditions will be quoted and approved before continuation.

9. Limitation of Liability
•UTC is not liable for consequential or indirect damages arising from plumbing failures, pre-existing defects, or system-wide issues outside the scope of the specific work performed.
